'Pro-liberation forces are under threat'
The two-volume book titled 'Bangabandhu and Bangladesh' was edited by noted writer and Professor Dr Muntasir Mamun.
Speaking at the publication ceremony, journalist Harun Habib said anti-liberation forces were trying to erase the name of Bangabandhu from the history.
He regretted that the verdict in the Bangbandhu murder case is yet to be executed although the judgement was delivered four years ago.
The country was now passing through a critical phase because of growing fundamentalism, Habib said.
Abed Khan, editor of the Bhorer Kagoj, said the pro-liberation forces are under threat as the anti-liberation elements have consolidated their hold on political power.
He said the nation would never forget Bangabandhu for his immense contribution to achieving independence.
Dr Shamsul Huda Harun, former political science professor of Dhaka University, described the book as pioneer works and a useful reference book for researchers.
"The biography of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is the biography of independent Bangladesh," he added.
Prof Muntasir said there are misconceptions about Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's regime from 1972-1975.
Prof Muntasir said he tried to dispel the misconceptions about Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's regime from 1972 to 1975 by including accurate information in the book.
