The South Asia Migration Resource Network (SAMReN) will collect information from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal and post these data on a web site in next three months.

It will also organise workshop, discussion and roundtable in these countries to raise awareness about the rights of migrant workers, said Dr Tasneem Siddique, chairman of the Research Unit, at a press conference in the city on Monday.

At present, over 175 million migrant workers are working in different countries worldwide, she said.
