Police arrested 1,543 people on various charges during their countrywide drive in last 24 hours till 6.00am yesterday.
During the drive, the law enforcers also recovered nine firearms and 33 bullets and filed 11 cases against 12 people under the Arms Act, said a Police Headquarters press release.
