RCC accords reception to GPA-5 winners

The Mayor's Education Medal was distributed among the GPA-5 winners at a colourful ceremony held at the Green Plaza Corner.

A record number of 246 students from 18 schools and madrasas in the city received the medals and certificates.

RCC Mayor Mizanur Rahman Minu MP attended the reception as chief guest.

He called upon the students to devote themselves to studies and build themselves as worthy citizens of the country.

He said opportunities will have to be created so that meritorious students could become skilled manpower in future.

Presided over by RCC Education Committee Chairman Gias Uddin, the function was also addressed by the students Monisha Alam, Shahnaz Nazneen, Selim Yusuf, Israfeel Hossain and Reazul Islam.

Rajshahi Education Board Chairman Prof Nazrul Islam, Police Commissioner Zahurul Islam Talukdar, teachers, guardians and local elite attended the function.
