Outlaw lynched in Khulna
An angry mob caught and lynched him at around 12:30pm at Natun Bazar while he was trying to run away, after being challenged by a team of patrol police.
Four Indian single-shooter guns hidden under beans, potatoes and pumpkins in a gunny bag were found with him, police said.
Later, police Sergeant Abdul Karim and four constables rescued Bellal from the mob and admitted to the Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH), where he died at around 4:30pm.
Police said, Bellal was a member of an outlawed political outfit. He was coming from Komorpur village under Bagerhat Sadar upazila with the firearms and heading for his city hideout, they alleged.
Another outlaw, identified as Russel, was lynched at Munshipara last Sunday. He was caught with some posters of the Janajuddho faction of outlawed Purba Banglar Communist Party (PBCP).
