Shahadat Hossain Riad has secured first class first position in the BA (honours) examination of the communication & journalism department of Chittagong University (CU) held in 2003.
He is the second student to obtain first class in four years and got the highest marks among the students of all departments under the arts faculty of the university.
Riad is now working as CU correspondent of The Daily Star.
Son of Monowara Begum and late Md Khalid Hossain, Riad hails from Nalchhiti upazila in Jhalakathi.
