Bangladesh Bank official killed in road accident

Shafiqul Islam, 47, a deputy manager of BB Rajshahi regional branch, died on the spot when a speeding Dhaka-bound coach hit the rickshaw he was travelling in. He was going to his office.

The rickshawpuller and two passers-by were also injured. They were admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.

Police seized the bus, but its driver and helper fled away. A case was filed with Boalia police.
