The father of a five-year-old girl who has been suffering from thalassaemia seeks financial assistance for the treatment of her daughter abroad.

The girl, Borna, is now under the treatment of Professor Waqar Ahmed Khan of Dhaka Shishu Hospital.

She needs blood transfusion every month that costs around Tk. 4,000.

Her doctors advised her father, Joy Mustafi, to take her abroad for bone marrow transplantation. But her father, a low-paid employee in a fortnightly magazine, could not afford such treatment involving about Tk 40 lakh.

He appealed to the generous people to extend a helping hand to save her daughter.

Contributions can be sent to the following account: Savings Account No. 5310, Pubali Bank, Naya Paltan branch, Dhaka.
