Death in custody of joint forces

No complaint lodged

No complaint has so far been lodged in connection with the death of Abdul Kader, a ringleader of an underground gang.

He was allegedly beaten to death while in the custody of joint forces on Saturday night.

Sources said a group of people from Bagmara brought out a procession on Sunday night to express their joy over the death of Kader.

They were the supporters and cadres of another terrorist group named Jalil Bahini, the sources added.

They also attacked the family members of Kader and created a reign of terror in the area brandishing arms.

"We want to get rid of Jalil Bahini also," local people told this correspondent yesterday.

A senior official of KMP admitted the existence of Jalil Bahini but refuted the allegation that the processionists carried arms on Sunday night.
