BNP leader shot dead in Narsingdi

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Jasimuddin, 50, joint secretary of Shibpur unit of BNP.

Police said a gang of six sprayed bullets on Jashim and his nephew Kamal, 36, at about 10:00am and left the spot in a microbus.

Jasim and Kamal were rushed to the upazila health complex and later shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where Jasim died.

Jasim, son of late Tara Miah of Joymangal village in the upazila, was an accused in the Baghaba Union Parishad Chairman Joynal Abedin murder case, police said.
