Young man chopped to death

On information, Railway Police recovered the body of the youth from railway track at Dayaganj at 9:40am.

The criminals hacked thrice in the neck and there were also marks of beating injuries in different parts of the body, police said.

Police sent the body to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy.

A case was filed with Government Railway Police Station. None was arrested till 8:30pm.

Meanwhile, Khilgaon police recovered the decomposed body of a youth, aged about 25, from a lake at Nandipara at around 8:30pm Saturday.

Police could not say whether the youth drowned or was killed and dumped in the lake water.

The body was sent to the DMCH for autopsy and a case was filed with Khilgaon Police Station.
