Timber trader chopped at Kazipara

Zakir Hossain, 35, the timber trader, is now undergoing treatment at the orthopaedic hospital with wounds in his back, hands and legs.

Locals said Solaiman, owner of National Furniture, his son Monir and one Jamal went to Bismillah Timber at east Kazipara in Kafrul at about 8:00am. They chopped him with machetes when he came out of his office.

Solaiman filed a case with Kafrul Police Station after the incident, accusing Zakir of demanding toll from him.

The victim's wife also filed a case against the attackers, police said.
