Oracle launches e-business suite special edition for mid-market Asia-Pacific companies
With the Oracle E-Business Suite Special Edition for Asia Pacific, Oracle will also enable mid-market companies to lower their total cost of ownership (TCO) through implementation of a complete bundle encompassing installation, software licences, maintenance, hardware and education. A lower TCO can be achieved through reduced complexity in the solution implementation, eliminating the need for extra administration and support resources, and lower entry pricing so that investments can scale with business growth.
To support the fundamental day-to-day operational processes of mid-market organisations, the package comprises key modules of the Oracle E-Business Suite, including applications for managing financials, sales order management, inventory, purchasing, customer relationship management (CRM) sales and service, discrete and process manufacturing and business intelligence.
Available from participating Oracle partners in Asia Pacific, the Oracle E-Business Suite Special Edition solution can be completely implemented to achieve 'go live' status in 10 to 40 days. This meets the requirements of mid-market companies for a system that can be delivered within a very short and predictable timeframe, enabling them to achieve faster return on their IT investments. Oracle's partners will be able to provide additional consulting services to companies that require more niche functionality.
'As businesses are maturing across the region, an increasing number of smaller companies in Asia Pacific are realising the need to conduct business electronically with the early adopter large enterprises', said Derek Williams, executive vice president, Oracle Asia Pacific. 'There are about 2.3 million companies in Asia in the category that we define as the mid-market. With the implementation expertise of our partners, the Oracle E-Business Suite Special Edition will enable us to make it even easier and faster for smaller organisations to become part of the e-business eco-system, using exactly the same software as their larger counterparts. Oracle is well-placed to address the business opportunities in this important market segment.'
