Polybags seized in city: 2 arrested
A joint drive by the Directorate of Environment (DoE) and police yesterday seized four bundles of banned polythene shopping bags from Fakirerpool Bazar in the city and arrested two persons.
The arrestees are Nannu and Shah Alam. Police nabbed them for selling and storing the banned polythene bags.
A case was also filed against them, a DoE press release said.
