Khadija takes oath as MP

Speaker Muhammad Jamir Uddin Sircar administered the oath to the newly-elected MP from Netrakona-3 at his chamber.

The Netrokona-3 seat of the Jatiya Sangsad fell vacant following the death of Nurul Amin Talukder on June 4 last. Khadija, wife of late Nurul Amin, won the election with the four-party alliance ticket.

Secretary, Parliament Secretariat Kazi Raquibuddin Ahmed conducted the oath-taking ceremony.

Deputy Speaker Akhter Hamid Siddiqui, Chief Whip Khondoker Delwar Hossain, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Parliamentary Affairs Salauddin Qader Chowdhury, Whips Mohammad Ashraf Hossain, Alhaj Syed Wahidul Alam, Syed Shahidul Hoq Zamal, and Alhaj Mohammad Zahed Chowdhury and State Minister for Home Affairs Lutfuzzaman Babar were present on the occasion.
