Alleged thief escapes from police custody

Police said Md Zahir, son of Md Shafi of Shilkup Maizpara under Banshkhali thana, fled from Upazila Health Complex of Banshkhali Wednesday night.

Zahir was held by the mob on August 17. They beat him up and handed over to police, sources said.
