24 PBCP men held in Tangail
Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and police in a joint drive arrested 24 activists of the outlawed Purbo Banglar Communist Party (PBCP) from different areas of Baghil union in Sadar upazila in 24 hours ending at 6:00am yesterday.
Police said 11 of the arrested -- Mozammel Haque, Amir Hossain, Zakir Hossain, Firoz Ahmed, Saiful Islam, Raju Ahmed, Abdul Latif, Anwar Hossain, Ainal, Sarbesh Ali and Jhantu Mia -- are listed members of the outlawed party.
They said 20 RAB members along with 130 policemen took part in the drive.
