3 women rescued from 'traffickers' at ZIA, 2 held
A team of the Criminal Investigation Department, police, yesterday rescued three women from Zia International Airport and arrested two alleged traffickers.
Acting on a tip-off, the CID team nabbed Alamgir, 22, and Selim, 46, and rescued three women while they were being trafficked to Lebanon by a Qatar Airways flight in the morning, police said.
Police recovered 141 passports from Selim.
The women are Rahima,29, Hashi, 28, and Anwara, 29. Police seized three international passports and tickets from their possession.
The arrested traffickers and the women were taken into custody for interrogation. A case was filed with the Airport Police Station.
