One killed in road mishap

Hospital sources said Sohrab Ali, 35, son of Badsha Sheikh, suffered serious injuries when a truck knocked him down on the embankment at about 3:30am. He was on his way to his residence near Mirpur Beribandh slum.

Sohrab was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.

Police could neither seize the truck nor arrest the driver.
