Hasina's daughter awarded
Sayma Wazed Hossain (Putul), daughter of Leader of the Opposition in Parliament and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina, has received the prestigious 'Certificate of Merit for Excellence in Student Research Award' in Canada for her research work.
American Psychological Association conferred the award on Putul at its inaugural ceremony of the two-day convention at Toronto Metro Convention Centre on Thursday, according to a message received in the city yesterday.
Putul is a research student of Psychology at the Barry University in Miami, Florida.
The topic of Putul's research was "Psychological Wellbeing of Bengali Women as a function of Education, Employment, Control of Finances and Purdah."
