Businessman's body found in Sirajganj

Umesh Chandra, 40, a resident of Rishipara in the upazila town, was picked up by a gang of extortionists at gunpoint from his home.

Police said they found a letter with the body addressed to Arun Khan, a businessman of the same locality, with the demand of a ransom of Tk 2 lakh and the threat of death in case of non-payment.

The extortionists set the time and place for the payment which police did not disclose.
