Syngenta director killed in road crash
An employee of a multinational firm died and the driver of the car was injured in an accident in Mymensingh yesterday.
A Mymensingh-bound bus collided with the private car of Jatindranath Saha Chowdhury, 60, technical director of Syngenta Bangladesh Limited, killing him on the spot and injuring the driver Kabir Hossain, 35, near Trishal on Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway at 9:30am, witnesses said.
However, the bus fled the scene.
Kabir was admitted to the Mymensingh Medical College Hospital in critical condition.
Chowdhury's body was taken to his village home at Gafargaon for burial.
No case was filed till filing of this report at 6:30pm yesterday.
