Students block road at Tejgaon protesting injury to mate
Students of Tejgaon Polytechnic Institute blocked Tongi Diversion Road for about an hour yesterday protesting a road accident in which one of their fellow students was injured on Thursday.
Over a hundred students of the institute barricaded the road from 10:00am to 11:00am bringing a complete halt to vehicular movement on the busy road.
The agitating students demanded speed-breaker in front of the institute as accidents take place frequently due to reckless driving.
On information, police went to the spot and removed the barricade as the authorities assured the students of constructing a speed-breaker in front of the institute in no time.
