Robbers loot Tk 7.5 lakh goods at Shyampur

Seven armed robbers broke into the first floor residence of Rafiqul Islam Babul at West Dholaipar at around 3:30am.

The miscreants tied up Babul, owner of a re-rolling mill, and his family at gunpoint and confined them to a room.

The robbers then allegedly took 100 tola gold ornaments, Tk 40,000 in cash and two mobile sets.

No case was filed in this connection till the writing of this report at 8:00pm last night.
