Two killed in Satkhira road mishap

The dead were identified as Mizanur Rahman, 35, son of Abul Hossain of Tetulia village under Kaliganj upazila and Abul Hashem, 45, son of Nur Ali Morol of Laxmidari village under Shymnagar upazila.

Police said the accident occurred when a Kaliganj-bound truck coming from Munshiganj hit a motorcycle from behind leaving motorcycle rider Mizanur Rahman and his companion Abul Hashem dead on the spot.

Police sent the bodies to Sadar Hospital for autopsy.

Police seized the truck but its driver managed to escape.

A case was filed with Shymnagar police.
