Girl found dead in Khulna NGO office
Police yesterday recovered the body of a young girl from the office of Dip Shikha, a voluntary non-government organisation (NGO) at Sher-e-Bangla road under Sonadanga thana.
Police said the body of Saraswati Howladar, daughter of Nagendra Nath Howladar of Gopalganj, was found hanging from the ceiling of the room where she lived with some of her colleagues.
Sonadanga police is unsure whether it is a case of homicide or suicide but neighbours suspect the girl was raped and killed.
Saraswati started working for the NGO last month as a field worker. Police is investigating the incident, said officer-in-charge of Sonadanga police.
