Judgement in Naushin murder case July 30
On completion of arguments from both sides, Judge Hossain Shahid Ahmad, Second Additional Metropolitan Session Judge's Court, fixed the date.
Earlier, the court had recorded statements of 20 out of 27 prosecution witnesses.
The court framed charges against the accused on March 27. The trial of the case began on May 5.
Marian Islam Naushin, 2, was shot in the head during indiscriminate firing by a gang of muggers at Uttar Badda in the city on May 9 last year. She was in the lap of her father Nazrul Islam. Naushin was rushed to a local clinic and then shifted to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where the doctors declared her dead.
Later, a murder case was filed with Badda Police Station the same day.
The Detective Branch (DB) of police submitted a charge sheet against four people on August 21, last year.
Of the accused, Moslem alias Muslim Miah and Saiful Islam Ratan are now in the jail custody while Mamun alias 'Ragkata' Mamun and Sumon still at large.
Assistant Public Prosecutor Alia Haider Kiran appeared for the state while advocates Mohammad Hanif, S M Jahid Sarder and Anwarul Kabir Babul defended the accused.
