Cases against 17 Ctg criminals referred to spl tribunal

CMP officials told UNB yesterday that these cases relating to arms, murder, abduction and extortion were referred to the ministry on Thursday in the first phase. Gradually, all cases against 70 top terrors in the district will be given for trial by the STT.

Those likely to face trial by the STT in the first phase are Mujibuddowla alias Mujib, Nasir alias Shibir Nasir, Sujauddowla, Md Sajjad, Jasim alias Five Star Jasim, Habib Khan, Abu Naser alias Gittu Nasir, Selim alias BDR Selim, Mamunur Rashid, Shafiqul Islam, Babar Ali, Abdul Kader, Helal Akbar, Mofizur Rahman alias Dulu, Rajib Dutta alias Rinku, Mohiuddin and Didarul Alam.
