Ctg GPO official's house robbed in broad daylight
Robbers in broad daylight yesterday shot and wounded the assistant postmaster of Chittagong GPO (General Post Office) and looted Tk 50,000 worth of cash and gold ornaments from his house at Bahaddarhat in Chittagong yesterday.
Sources said a gang of four armed men stormed into the house of Assistant Postmaster Joynal Abedin Chowdhury right behind the Bahaddarhat post office at 3:30pm.
The masked robbers shot Chowdhury in the wrist and beat up his wife before fleeing the spot with the cash and ornaments.
No case was recorded till filling of this report.
