Road accidents kill 3 in B'baria, Manikganj

In Brahmanbaria, a man was killed and two others were injured when a tempo fell into a roadside ditch.

Police and witnesses said the tempo, heading towards Sarail, veered into the watery ditch at Suhilpur in Sadar upazila at about 11.30pm after colliding with a microbus.

The body of M Jahangir, a trader in Sarail bazar, was recovered from the ditch yesterday morning. The injured were admitted to Sadar Hospital.

In Manikganj, two people were killed when a minibus crashed into a roadside tree on Dhaka-Aricha highway.

The accident in Dhamrai upazila left 15 people injured. Two of them died soon after admission to Gono Swasthya Kendra.

The dead were identified as Rehena, 40, and Zulekha, 40.

In another incident, three people were injured when a truck plunged into a roadside pond at Pashchim Dashra in the town.
