Tk 2cr Indian goods seized
Customs at the Benapole Land Port on Saturday night seized four Indian trucks carrying steel utensils and other household items and a huge quantity of clothes imported from India under false declaration, official sources said.
Acting on a secret information, Joint Commissioner of Benapole Land Customs Masudul Kabir seized the trucks from a warehouse. The trucks laden with the smuggled goods worth Tk 2 crore will be produced as evidence in a case to be filed after a thorough investigation, customs sources said.
