ZIA to have video cam to combat smuggling

The decision to install the sophisticated monitoring devices was made at a meeting yesterday between State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Mir Mohammad Nasuruddin, Chief of Air Staff Air Vice Marshal Fakhrul Azam and other high officials concerned.

Some more decisions regarding improvement of the overall management and service standards of the international airport as well as ensuring passenger safety were also taken at the meeting.

All foods supplied to airplanes would be scanned from now on. Also, a set of effective guidelines will be followed to protect aircraft at the airport during rough weather.
