AK-47, wireless set recovered in Ramu

Lal Than Bam, 25, son of Doulian Bam of Bethel Para, was arrested with the weapon and handed over to the Ramu Police Station.

He was travelling to Bandarban from Ramu Bazar in an engine boat when law enforcers arrested him on a tip-off.

Another five persons were also picked in this connection for interrogation.

Earlier, Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) recovered an M-16 rifle and 73 rounds of ammunition from Naikhongchhori of the district on July 4 and arrested two persons.
