Five minority families evicted by 'alliance cadres'

The case filed by Dhirendra Nath accused six local leaders of the ruling four-party alliance and 35 unidentified cadres of the vandalism.

The petitioner said he and his five brothers lived in their ancestral home at Biswanathpur. On Saturday night, 40 to 50 armed cadres of the ruling alliance allegedly led by Kawsar Ali Molla attacked them and demolished their houses. The armed cadres also damaged the adjacent temple.

Later, the attackers turned the place into a playground, said the complainant.
