Warfaze’s “Obak Bhalobasha” can be said to be a cult classic that remains cherished by those who grew up in the ‘90s. With its meaningful lyrics and beautiful arrangement, it holds an important place in our childhood memories. Therefore, when Coke Studio Bangla announced, that they were going to rearrange the song for its third season, everyone eagerly anticipated Warfaze’s majestic performance.

Renowned guitarist Oni Hasan is set to return to Dhaka after a decade for a series of live shows. This announcement has sparked excitement among his fans, who frequently discuss his potential visits via social media. The anticipation reached a peak yesterday when Hasan himself confirmed the upcoming performances.

The concert, titled “Bijoy Ullash”, is going to take place at Jamuna Future Park’s Players Club on Friday, December 15, from 2 PM to 10 PM.

To usher in the new academic year and extend a warm welcome to the incoming students, Dhaka University is going to host a concert featuring the renowned West Bengal bands Chandrabindoo and Fossils. 

A concert titled “Cholo Bangladesh” has been arranged by Grameenphone in view of the Tigers performing on the biggest stage of the cricket world. The programme will be a musical extravaganza to celebrate the national cricket team’s journey to the ICC Cricket World Cup, so far. The event has been scheduled to be held at the Bangladesh Army Stadium on Friday, October 20.

It was almost 11:30 pm on the clock but the crowd was still spellbound by the mesmerising performance of Nagar Baul’s James. That is the kind of expectation, one attends a concert with and it was the case yesterday too.

The concert will showcase a total of eight bands, including Warfaze, Avoidrafa, Shonar Bangla Circus, Karnival, Aftermath, Plasmic Knock and AK Rahul. But that’s not all! The biggest attraction of this concert will be the living legend Mahfuz Anam James.

Legacy. It’s often an arbitrary word that is thrown around. But very few can truly say that their legacies have been solidified in the stars.

The “Bangladeshi rock band encyclopaedia” is authored by music journalists Milu Aman and Haque Faruk, depicting the chronological history of 180 music bands in the country.
