With just a day remaining before the launch of the new political party by the 2024 uprising activists, former Islami Chhatra Shibir leaders in the Jatiya Nagorik Committee have withdrawn from the initiative to form the party amid discord over leadership positions.

Nahid Islam yesterday resigned as the information adviser to almost certainly lead the upcoming new political party.

The July uprising activists are considering increasing the number of top posts in their political party to ensure the representation of all the stakeholders of the movement amid a discord over leadership.
