The Star Cineplex authorities had ambitious plans for the film, which marked their first import under the Safta agreement. Despite preparations for a grand premiere, the screening couldn't proceed as scheduled on Friday (March 29), as the film couldn’t get censor clearance.

The film, a heist comedy thriller set in the realm of commercial aviation, showcases the first-ever collaboration between Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon.

In a pleasantly surprising move, Star Cineplex is all set to screen two previous blockbusters helmed by famed director Christopher Nolan this very month. Star Cineplex’s official website reveals that films “The Dark Knight” (2008) and “Interstellar” (2014) are scheduled to be screened starting March 19.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Hasan Mahmud has said everyone should watch the Bangabandhu biopic “Mujib: The Making of a Nation”.

The biopic of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman titled, “Mujib: The Making of a Nation”, jointly produced by the governments of Bangladesh and India, was released in theatres across the country on October 13. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina herself has invited everyone to watch the movie starring Arifin Shuvoo.

"Jawan" continues to dominate local theaters, as crowds are still seeking tickets after 11 days since its release. The film is going houseful in almost all of the cinema halls, which has led to shortage of tickets.
