Zimbabwe batter Innocent Kaia reckons his side have got what it takes to edge past India at home in the upcoming three-match ODI series, with the first match set to commence on August 18 in Harare.

Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal did not hesitate to admit that Zimbabwe won the three-match ODI with one match in hand on Sunday as the better team.

Sikandar Raza's splendid second consecutive hundred, along with skipper Regis Chakabva's maiden ODI ton, led Zimbabwe to a five-wicket victory against Bangladesh in the second ODI in Harare yesterday, thereby sealing the three-match ODI series with a game in hand. It was the hosts' first ODI series win against Bangladesh after nine years.

Sikandar Raza’s second ton in consecutive matches and skipper Regis Chakabva’s 75-ball 102, saw Zimbabwe clinch the second ODI by five wickets to clinch their first ODI series against Bangladesh since 2013.

The best of players are known to crave the pressure of performing against the wind, when chips are down. On Friday, Sikandar Raza made audiences witness once again that pressure makes diamonds as his gem of a knock, a 109-ball 135, entered into Zimbabwe cricket folklore.  

Before the first ODI, Bangladesh skipper Tamim Iqbal was of the opinion that the Tigers were favourites going into the three-match series against Zimbabwe. But he did warn that Bangladesh would have to play their best cricket to beat the hosts.
