The teaser for “Jongli” has now been unveiled. Directed by M Rahim, the film had previously released a pre-teaser, while the official teaser dropped yesterday evening. The 1-minute-11-second clip has left fans surprised by Siam Ahmed’s intense and ferocious transformation.

The upcoming film “Jongli”, starring Siam Ahmed, Shobnom Bubly, and Prarthana Fardin Dighi, is set to hit theatres across Bangladesh this Eid-ul-Fitr. However, ahead of its local release, the film is also gearing up for a global rollout.

Siam Ahmed has unveiled a fresh look for his upcoming film “Jongli” today, sparking excitement among fans.

Actress Shobnom Bubly shared the poster of her upcoming starrer project “Pinik” on social media, announcing its release during Eid. The film is set to join the lineup alongside new movies starring Shakib Khan, Siam Ahmed, and Afran Nisho for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.

Prominent actor Siam Ahmed, who first captured hearts with crowd-favorite television series like “Bhalobasha 101”, “Tomar Amar Prem”, and “X Factor Reload”, has since made a seamless transition to the silver screen, cementing his place in the film industry. His highly anticipated film “Jongli” is now on the horizon, promising to showcase a deeply immersive and reinvented Siam in the lead role.

For over two decades, Shakib Khan has been a leading figure in the Dhallywood film industry. Recently, he has ventured into the world of cricket through his business enterprise, Remark-Herlan, which has acquired a Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) franchise named Dhaka Capitals. 

The film “Pinik”, directed by Zahid Jewel, is among the highly anticipated releases this Eid, starring Ador Azad and Bubly. Joining the festive lineup, Shakib Khan, Siam Ahmed and Afran Nisho will also bring their latest project to the audience.

The crime thriller “Shaan”, directed by M Rahim and featuring Siam Ahmed and Puja Cherry, was originally released during Eid-ul-Fitr 2022 and performed well in theatres and on OTT platforms. It’s now set to make its Indian television debut as “Arjun: The Super Cop” on Zee Bangla Cinema, airing on November 10.

Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan has long held the position of director at Remark-Herlan, but now celebrated actor Siam Ahmed has also come on board as the brand ambassador for the company.

The upcoming film, yet to be titled, will be shot at locations both in Bangladesh and abroad, with a planned release during Eid ul-Azha 2025.

The film industry continues to face significant challenges as most cinemas remain closed, and the few that have reopened are struggling due to a lack of new releases. Filmmakers are hesitant to debut their projects in this climate, forcing theatre owners to rely on screening older films. 

“Everyone is free to use their words as they wish, but it’s disheartening to see behaviour that doesn’t sit right with me,” shared Siam Ahmed. The actor is equally as shocked as his other colleagues in the fraternity after the exposé of the WhatsApp group ‘Alo Ashbei’, which became the talk of the town as some of its members are veteran actors of the industry.

Heavy rains and landslides from upstream India have inundated the southeastern districts of the country. Regions such as Feni, Noakhali, Lakshmipur, Cumilla, Habiganj, Moulvibazar, Rangamati, and Khagrachari are struggling with severe flooding. 

In the wake of the significant win in the students’ movement against discrimination, some individuals vandalised cinema halls in the name of celebrating the victory. Actor Siam Ahmed notably expressed feeling hurt by these attacks. At Prothom Alo's “Meril Cafe Live” event on Monday evening, he urged, “I kindly request everyone not to damage the space where actors and audiences come together.”

Popular actor Siam Ahmed has been a consistent voice of support for the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, alongside many of his colleagues in the entertainment industry. Their outspoken stance has been widely praised so those who chose silence or responded late have doubtlessly faced significant backlash from the general public.

Over the past few years, films starring Shakib Khan have consistently dominated the box office post-release. All things considered, local audiences have undoubtedly and eagerly been embracing this leading star's films.
