Speaking about her diagnosis, she said, “I had breast cancer. In European countries, we see that around three to four per cent of women develop this disease. No one in my family had cancer, so I don’t know what it means for the next generation. For those living abroad, routine tests are done every three or four years — I think that should be introduced in our country as well. It would be a great step forward. But there’s no need to fear cancer. People are making comebacks even from stage three or four, and living happy, fulfilled lives — just like me.”
