Versatile Media, the production company behind the film, disclosed this information today (March 20) at a press conference for the film.

After much anticipation and rumours circulating in the media and amongst netizens, it has been confirmed that Mimi Chakraborty from West Bengal and Nabila from Bangladesh will be portraying the main female characters in "Toofan".

Director Himel Ashraf commenced shooting for the Shakib Khan starrer “Rajkumar”, after the success of “Priyotoma” — the director’s first time working with the Dhallywood star. The filming of “Rajkumar”, produced by Arshad Adnan, concluded last month. This film, which marks the trio's second collaboration, is all set for release during the upcoming Eid.

Furthermore, there are other films such as Jaaz Multimedia's production “Potu” and another titled “Meghna Konya,” amongst a few others.

Dhallywood's Shakib Khan has dedicated 18 consecutive weeks to filming “Rajkumar” at different sites across the United States. Following the shoot, he arrived in Dhaka from New York via an Emirates airline flight on Wednesday morning. Upon his return, he swiftly headed back to Rangamati. Shakib Khan travelled there by helicopter at 4:00pm. According to the film's director, Himel Ashraf, the filming for “Rajkumar” will conclude there within the next two days.

The filming of the title song for the Himel Ashraf directorial movie “Rajkumar”, featuring Shakib Khan, commenced at BFDC today morning. Approximately 300 dance artistes are actively participating in the shooting of the film's first song.

Giasuddin Selim’s “Kajol Rekha” was scheduled to be released on February 2 and “Dorod” was going to be released on February 9. However, the respective directorial panels delayed the release dates.
