Ten Bangladeshi bands have recorded brand-new songs for Bangladesh Television’s special programme “Band Utshob 2025”, bringing together lyricist Shahid Mahmud Jangi and composer Fuad Nasser Babu; two names closely associated with many popular band songs in the country.

Titled “Apon Aloy Shahid Mahmud Jangi: Gaaney Gaaney Souttor,” the programme brought together musicians, writers, and cultural figures to reflect on Jangi’s contribution to Bangladeshi music. The event was organised by Ajob Karkhana.

Elita Karim has released her new album "Chini Der Chamoch" to end the year on a musical note. The 4-track EP includes lyrics by the esteemed Shahid Mahmud Jangi and compositions by renowned musician Pilu Khan. Under the banner of Aajob records, the launch event took place yesterday at a café in the capital.
