Released in 2000 under the Soundtek banner, “Hridoypur” has now completed 25 years. Yet, even after all these years, its songs remain vibrant and alive. These evergreen tracks continue to stay close to listeners’ souls—and will undoubtedly do so for many, many years to come.

The festival, organised by Aajob Karkhana, aims to introduce Sanjeeb Chowdhury’s timeless creations to the younger generation. Over the years, it has become a unique gathering for music lovers across the country.

Today marks the 17th anniversary of Sanjeeb Chowdhury’s untimely death, a day etched in sorrow for the Bangladeshi music scene. On November 19, 2007, Sanjeeb left us, but his legacy continues to shape the cultural landscape.

Dalchhut, the renowned band formed under the leadership of Sanjeeb Chowdhury in 1996, is set to release a new album titled “Sanjeeb,” in honour of its founding member.

The Sanjeeb Utshob Udjapon Parishad has been organising the event at the University of Dhaka (DU) every year since 2010.
