Debutants Rajshahi Stars completed a remarkable unbeaten campaign to lift the Bangladesh Women's Football League title, defeating Bangladesh Army 3-0 to seal the crown with a perfect 10 wins from 10 matches on Saturday.

Rajshahi finished with maximum points in the 11-team league.

Her performances in both the WFL and the SAFF U-19 Championship have reportedly earned her a call-up to the senior national team for the upcoming AFC Women’s Asian Cup in Australia in March.

Rajshahi will be without the Nepalese duo Bimala BK and Dipa Shahi, who left Dhaka shortly after the eighth round concluded on January 27.

Rajshahi Stars took a major step towards the title of Women’s Football League after defeating Farashganj Sporting Club 1-0 in a crucial match at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur on Saturday.

The victory lifted Rajshahi to third place in the six-team points table with eight points, while winless Noakhali remained rooted at the bottom after six outings and are virtually out of contention for a playoff spot.
