Ghost Autonomy, a startup focused on developing autonomous driving software for automotive partners, has ceased operations, according to a company announcement.

OpenAI, the parent company of ChatGPT, has recently restructured its venture capital fund, effectively removing Sam Altman, the company's CEO, from ownership and control of the OpenAI Startup Fund. According to the company, this move aims to enhance transparency and address concerns regarding the fund's governance. 

Users can now access the free version of ChatGPT without requiring to sign up via a Google, Microsoft, or Apple account. Instead, the popular AI chatbot can be directly accessed from OpenAI's official website without needing to log in.

OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, has recently unveiled insights from a small-scale preview of Voice Engine, a voice-cloning AI model. As per OpenAI, this model utilises text input alongside a single 15-second audio sample to generate natural-sounding speech that closely resembles the original speaker.

Microsoft and OpenAI are reportedly planning on building a data centre that would cost as much as $100 billion, as per a report by the global news platform The Information. The report adds that this data centre could also include an AI supercomputer called 'Stargate', which is set to launch in 2028.

Grok, the AI chatbot made by Elon Musk’s AI startup xAI, has been released on Github as an open-source project. The open release is now accessible on GitHub, allowing researchers and developers to freely enhance the Grok model.

Sora, the AI-based text-to-video generator by OpenAI, is set to be released to the public this year, according to Mira Murati, Chief Technology Officer at OpenAI. In a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, Murati revealed that Sora will be made open to the public as soon as "this year", potentially "within a few months".
