Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta Platforms and the founder of Facebook, has recently released an open letter titled "Open source AI is the path forward". In it, he publicly endorsed the use of open-source AI tech, indicating how tech companies could flourish if restrictions regarding AI were lifted by competitors.

This is not the first time that government propaganda efforts have been exposed by Meta/Facebook.

Instagram, owned by Meta, has reportedly terminated 60 technical program manager positions, as revealed by a recent report from ‘The Information’. This decision aims to streamline the company's structure by eliminating a layer of management. The affected employees are granted a two-month period to seek alternative positions within the company. Failure to secure a different role within this timeframe will result in the termination of their employment.

Meta has recently rolled out a highly-coveted feature for Messenger, the ability to edit sent messages. With this new update, users can now freely edit any messages they have sent within 15 minutes of sending that message.

Messenger, the instant messaging app by Meta, is launching end-to-end decryption on all messages and calls by default. With end-to-end encryption, messages and calls can only be seen by the sender and the recipient. Not even Meta will be able to see encrypted messages, as per the company.
