The one-hour show will spotlight Uchcharon’s contemporary line-up, who will perform Azam Khan’s best-known numbers and relate the stories behind them.

Azam Khan founded Uchcharon in 1972 with friends Neelu, Sadek and Mansur shortly after the Liberation War. The band gained national recognition with early hits such as “Eto Shundor Duniaye Kichu Na Rabe Re” and “Char Kalema Sakshi Debe”, broadcast on BTV the same year.

Azam Khan holds a significant place in Bangladeshi music history. He was one of the first local musicians to introduce western instruments and infuse them with compositions based on the Bangladeshi society of his time.
