The buzz around Aditya Dhar’s spy thriller “Dhurandhar” shows no signs of slowing down, with its lead cast witnessing a sharp surge in popularity. Actors Sara Arjun and Ranveer Singh have now topped IMDb’s popular Indian celebrities list, overtaking several established stars.

The film, which premiered on January 30 after a highly successful theatrical run, surpassed the first-weekend viewership of major titles such as “Animal”, “Fighter”, and “Pushpa 2: The Rule”.

Actor Ranveer Singh has officially kicked off promotions for the sequel to his blockbuster spy thriller “Dhurandhar”. On Tuesday morning, the actor revealed the first-look poster of the film and confirmed that “Dhurandhar 2” is titled “Dhurandhar: The Revenge”.

Bahraini rapper Flipperachi has entered the Guinness World Records after his song “FA9LA”, featured in Ranveer Singh’s blockbuster film “Dhurandhar”, topped the highest number of Billboard Arabia music charts.

Viewers who missed the film during its theatrical run can now stream it on Netflix.

According to IMDb data, “Dhurandhar” currently holds a strong rating of 8.5/10, based on more than 100,000 user votes.

Aditya Dhar’s spy-action spectacle “Dhurandhar” has rewritten Hindi cinema’s box office history, emerging as the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time. Headlined by Ranveer Singh, the film has amassed an impressive Rs 831.40 crore nett at the Indian box office by the end of its 33rd day.

Several actors, including Prabhas and Allu Arjun, have come close with blockbuster releases, while Ranbir Kapoor may still reach the mark with upcoming projects. For now, however, Akshaye Khanna stands as the only non-Khan actor to achieve the milestone within a single calendar year.

Released on December 5, Aditya Dhar’s “Dhurandhar” emerged as one of the biggest Indian box-office successes of 2025, entering the thousand crore club within weeks of its release. 

The milestone caps a rare, full-spectrum chart takeover at home and abroad, signalling a decisive shift in how Bollywood soundtracks travel worldwide.
