Discard the mindset that ‘the election is only fair if I win’

After the last three manipulated elections, the people of Bangladesh are eagerly waiting to exercise their fundamental right to vote.

What perhaps would be most appropriate on this occasion is a few unattributed quotes that say “Gone from our sight, present in our conscience”, “A chapter closes but the story continues”, “The leader departs but the ideals remain”.

Judicial independence is formally guaranteed; its actual implementation will require moral courage from judges themselves.

No compromise on holding elections on time

Yesterday, according to TV reports, the AL general secretary and the foreign minister commented on this paper -- one was an unsubstantiated  perspective and the other a charade.

A government cannot always be totally moral, but a president has to be.
