Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced their new sponsorship deal with Robi Axiata Limited for the national team yesterday, where they agreed to a significantly lower sum from the previous two deals with the same organisation, highlighting the board’s struggles in attracting sponsors for the Tigers.

Bangladesh ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan had recently asked to be rested from the Sri Lanka series due to his persisting eye problem.

Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan has signed a two-year contract with Dhaka Premier League (DPL) side Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club. 

“Congratulations everyone. You guys played really well,” Shanto said in a video posted by the BCB which was recorded inside the team bus in Dunedin
